Spring vacation in Cuba is an excellent way to get away and relax on the largest island in the Caribbean. Cuba has a large number of all-inclusive resorts set up jointly with European companies. These all-inclusive resorts in Cayo Guillermo offer great unspoiled beaches and lots of sunshine. Spring in Cuba is a perfect time for vacations as the ocean is warm and the air is not as humid as later in the season.
Spring vacations in Cuba allow us to escape to summer after a long winter. Cayo Guillermo and Cayo Coco are two small islands that people will remember for lots of nature. Ocean beach here is well protected by the reef. It is easy to see sea creatures in calm, clear waters. You can spot a school of fish, crabs, or needlefish. The beach on Cayo Guillermo island is shallow and sandy, and you can easily walk and observe sea life.
Sunrise will reward early risers with picture-perfect views of the ocean and skies. Everything is colored in soft pastel colors when the sun is covered by the clouds. This is quite different from the sunrise with clear skies. Every sunrise is different and unique. Cayo Guillermo beach is approximately 3-3.5 km long, and it makes an excellent morning routine to walk it.
Sunrise is a must time for nature and landscape photography. Beach pictures are the best at this time of day. This is when you can take pictures of birds trying to catch fish or resting on old piles. Pelicans like sunrise, and often you will see several of them skimming the ocean surface. Caribbean islands are always full of wildlife and if you stay away from resorts near large cities, you will see lots of birds, fish and other ocean creatures.
1. Set the camera to a fast shutter speed for fast-moving objects like birds.
2. Bring a zoom lens for your digital camera to reach far away wildlife.
3. Use a tripod or support camera in low-light situations.
4. For perfect beach pictures remember to check the lens for condensation at sunrise and sunset.
