Naples Island is a beautiful location in Long Beach, California. The yearly Christmas boat parade is an event not to miss. The boatowners decorate their boats with Christmas lights and other decorations and parade around the central canal.

Bay Shore avenue is probably the best as it has waterfront access and a large beach that can accommodate many spectators.
Parking is plentiful around 2nd street in the Belmont area. There are also many restaurants where you could warm up before or after the parade.
When done watching the parade, take a walk around Naples Island itself. It will be a visual treat as all the homes compete in Christmas decorations and participate in the contest. Naples Island is not that big, and it will be a pleasant stroll along the canals.
December could be quite chilly on the water in California, so dress appropriately to stay warm and enjoy the Christmas Boat Parade.
